This graphic adventure shows the bloodiest single day in American history. The fight that split the United States in two in 1861 led to cornfields just outside Sharpsburg, Maryland, in the early fall of 1862. Chester the Crab traces the thinking of General Robert E. Lee in invading Maryland -- and then scrambling to reunite his army after Union troops discover his battleplans lying in a field! This colorful graphic novel in digital form will excite reluctant readers, prepare students for standardized tests in history, and help homeschooling parents!

Originally published in print form in 2004 in the Daily Press newspaper, Newport News, Virginia. Featured in the paperback comic "Civil War, vol. 1" first published in 2004 by Chester Comix LLC.
